Newborns
All sessions are booked by appointment only. It is best to reach out as soon as you're sure that you want to book so that we can get the retainer process started as I only take a certain number of newborns per month. Of course it's impossible to nail down an exact appointment time until babe is born, so when the big day comes and you've gotten home and settled in, give us a call so that we can get your little sweetheart on the books... the earlier the better! Typically these sessions are scheduled between 1-2 weeks of age and during morning hours. No worries though if your situation is unique... Life gets crazy and scheduling appointments for photos isn't always at the top of the to-do list. I do my best to accommodate every family and I believe every family deserves to have photos to cherish forever. Every baby is different BUT I am still able to achieve "newborn styled" for babies up to 8 weeks of age so don't hesitate to reach out, even if the two week window has passed... I believe all families deserve to have beautiful images of their tiny baby.

Preparing for your session...
We ask that you try to feed the baby before you leave the house because let's get real, we're all happier when we've got a full belly! Try and keep your baby awake for at least an hour before your arrival to the studio. Most of the time, this helps to ensure maximum snoozing during the session! Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours, although, each baby is different! The studio is loaded with props, wraps, blankets, headbands and outfits, so there's no need to bring anything but the baby's essentials when you come. For family sessions I recommend neutral colors for outfits.. we want babe to be the star of the show! Skin to skin is also encouraged! Please keep in mind that 3 hours can be a long time to wait for younger children, so bring an iPad, toys, snacks etc. for them to help keep them busy. Be sure to bring plenty of bottles if babe is bottle fed. Nursing is absolutely encouraged and supported throughout the entire studio whenever and however mama wishes. We have comfortable seating, nursing essentials and boppy pillows in the studio to help with ease of feedings. If babe takes a pacifier, be sure to bring that! If babe needs gas drops, etc. please also be mindful of this. The studio is kept between 75-80 degrees at all time in order to keep babe comfortable and happy (our main priority), so dress accordingly! If you have anything special that you'd like to incorporate in the session, try and let me know ahead of time and we can help bring your ideas to life! Please be mindful that these items will be up to the photographers digression and their usage dependent on the best perceived representation of the client and photographer. During the session, all you have to do is sit back and relax and even take a little nap if you want to!
After your session...
Turn around time for editing of your images is 4-6 weeks. You'll receive a digital link via email to download your images.
